Having worked in Govtech for a long time. I remember when vendors went out of their way not to cooperate in IT projects. Companies used technical and legal means to make it difficult to access data or integrate with third party products. It’s interesting that many bitter rivals have been acquired and are now a part of their former competitors.

The new generation of GovTech companies have a much more open approach to cooperation and integration. We realize that the single vendor solution is a concept of the past. Even products sold by large companies probably weren’t built by them.

Companies like TownCloud realize that we can add more value by working with existing customer applications. We believe it’s our responsibility to make products like Payments function seamlessly with other apps. We engineer our apps for integration and we happily work with others.

Customers benefit when their vendors work together. It’s the right thing to do.
